Indirection
The story of stuff by Annie Lenard
(story of stuff 2012) is a presentation about
our society and how the produce things with toxic which ways they take to make it . Five steps is cost us
our time our happiness :Extraction, Production ,Distribution , Consumption
,Disposal .its about how thing made in the world by some people who will get
benefit .
Extraction
is trashing the planet and destroying the
natural life .They chops the trees and kills the animal by kill the
forest .As they we are the third
world its like you land in some else
land and take the sources and trashing
. It’s a process to kill the sources for other people who have the power
to make a money it benefit process .This process kills 2,000 tree each minute
if we account 5 minute it kills 10,000 and the threat the river and the animals
in the same time the effect of the extraction is kill the life in the
earth .
Production
is a progress
that factories mixes natural
resources with energy to toxic
and poison people and like water to make smokes and mix chemicals with natural
stuff .Its like effect our life when we
using toxic in our home ,schools
,everywhere its like its kills us slowly
and effects our kids and our environment some disease, cancer,
health and many things the main idea it we should product our stuff from toxic .
Distribution
is to make the things sells fast and its
should be in low price and its should be
sells as soon as possible and its sells things that you cant fix it and its call trading so in
America as ainna say 70 % of people in
America like shopping or the buy things
but not use it so people buy this stuff
.some worker who work with toxics and they left
get self without health insurance and its cost people life in other way
.
Consumption
If we see the people who
consumption in the world is more than ever .If you compare now people to the past people there’s big different and
we can see as ainna says its more 30% .Its like keep people buying and buying and government who get the
benefit and after six month the add new products . And what happen with the
recycle it’s a lie some people from the government just burn the old product
so the toxic transfer by air and effect some people .people should think what
they buy and think twice .
Disposal
is like you throw the stuff that will effect you in the real life and
start to think right as ainna said (life before ,and life after) its like we
should take step and go forward in our life and try to make something to take
the threat from the earth and we use
bank of knowledge such as books and I think this is the best solution and it’s
a big problem and we should fix it .
Consumes UAE
In the UAE pepole are buying
product who came from outside product. cellphones is the most thing that UAE people buy and
they its decrease the economy in the UAE such as some people in uae they
have 2 till 3 phone s and its useless to have 2 to 3 phones and I suggest to
the government to start new project and we start to do our own thing so we
don’t lose that much of money .
Conclusion
As we watched the video I learned how to make the plant more secure and safety
.And keep it away from the wrong products and stop destroy the life in
the earth and start to think to find new solution and we start to find natural
resources and stop to mix toxics and we should be awake to chose what we want .
